The Social Equity Issue corresponds with the launch of Oregon Tilth’s Social Investment Program, and is the first our our annual fall social equity issue. We’re on a journey to better fulfill the social equity portion of our mission, and part of that is discovering how should and could we promote social equity in our work. In future years we hope to highlight the work of the organizations in our Social Investment Project, but this year was an exercise in listening and looking at the work of others. You’ll find stories of people visioning and building a better food system—a system of healing, sovereignty, and where everyone has a place at the table.
Thank you to our issue sponsors Cafe Mam, the Community Food Systems Conference, the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service, and the Organic Seed Alliance.
